How Satellite Works

​

A typical satellite internet system comprises a remote site communicating via satellite to a Satellite Teleport.

 

The Teleport is connected via Fiber to an International Internet Exchange, providing high speed broadband internet access directly to the remote VSAT site.

​

The users remote site requires VSAT hardware to send and receive the data from the Internet exchange.

​

Remote site hardware comprises:

​

  • VSAT Antenna                  C-Band or Ku-Band

  • BUC – Transmitter           C-Band or Ku-band

  • LNB- Receiver                   PLL type

  • Satellite Router                 iDirect X3 or X5 router.

  • Coaxial cable                     RG 6 or RG 11 high quality twin coax cable.
